The Rules of the Hunt

Welcome, Hunter. Participation in The Wild Hunt implies your unyielding commitment to the protocols and regulations of our community. Please review the following rules carefully before you set forth to claim your bounty in Thunder Bay.

The Wild Hunt Thunder Bay terms and conditions as of March 5th, 2026

01. Eligibility & Redemption

Eligibility

Participants must be 18 years or older to access The Wild Hunt Thunder Bay and agree to and abide by the rules and regulations to participate.

Employees of The Wild Hunt are not eligible to participate in the hunt nor claim the monthly treasure.

Redemption

No Purchase Necessary. Each treasure will be a numerical code on an item with an identifier linking it to The Wild Hunt. It will be found outdoors on public property in plain sight. To locate the treasure you must follow and solve the monthly clues put out by The Wild Hunt. Once the numerical code is found you can enter it on the website via the treasure page. The hunter must also provide their full name, valid email and phone number for verification purposes. A photo of the treasure item and code as well as the location found if possible. 

02. Key Protocols of the Pursuit
  1. Leave no Trace: Treasure will never be buried. There is strictly no digging allowed. It will also not be located anywhere that will damage flora and fauna such as garden beds and meadows.
  2. Borders & Boundaries: Trespassing is strictly forbidden. The hunt exists entirely on public property.
  3. Preservation: Do not tamper with buildings, gardens, or historical monuments. History must remain undisturbed.
  4. The Hunter's Eye: Use your wits. The clues are designed to be solved without force.
03. Liability & The Risk of Venture

The Wild Hunt and its organizers are not liable for any injuries, losses, or damages incurred during participation nor the use of any prize. Hunters choose their paths and assume all risks associated with natural terrain, weather conditions, and personal judgment. The treasure will always be found in plain sight in easy to access public areas. There is no need for unnecessary risk. No digging, no climbing, no swimming and no rough terrain.

04. Clue Schedule 

The first primary clue of each hunt will be issued at 8:00 AM EST on the first Saturday of the participating month. It will be available to everyone on the home page.

Two additional clues will be issued on the 2nd and 3rd Saturday of each participating month via the clue request form on the homepage. The clues will also be directly emailed to Hunters Guild members when released.

05. Subscriptions and Data Collection

Subscribers will have all clues directly emailed to them at the time of release.

Personal information collected from subscribers will be used for administering the hunt via clue emails, identity verification, communication with participants, marketing only for the prize winners and compliance with the rules and regulations.

06. The Hunter's Code of Conduct

A true Hunter operates with integrity. Sabotage of other hunters, or destructive behavior towards property or persons will result in an immediate and permanent ban from the community. Respect the hunt and it shall respect you.
